
Biography
The Guitarist-Composer born in Montevideo, Uruguay, began playing the guitar at the age of 12, when he was 13 he started studying classical guitar at Conservatorio Rubinstein de Montevideo.
In the early 70's he played with folkloric groups, which music style was Candombe, Milonga, Zamba, Chacarera.
Later, in the mid 70's he studied Brazilian Music, Harmony, Literature and Language at Instituto Cultural Uruguai-Brasil,(I.C.U.B.) learning Samba, Bossa-Nova, MPB and all the rich Brazilian styles, performing in guitar and percussion with the ICUB group in many cultural events.
From 1997 to 2001 attended MasterClasses with Maestro Abel Carlevaro in Zurich, worldwide known for his finger technics, and every year the Maestro came to Zurich to give Concerts and Workshops.
Living many years in Brazil, California, Barcelona and performing with different musicians, in Zurich he performed with Ademir Candido Group, Pinga Forte, Perrone Band, and Latin Projects like SamBossa.
In Summer 2004 he was invited to play at the most famous Jazz Club in Jakarta, Indonesia, "JAMZ" performing with many well known local musicians for 2 months at the Mardi Gras stage.
At the moment he continue with his solo project, in wich he has recorded three CDs, "Guitar Sketches" (Brazilian Music); Nestworks (Jazz-Brazilian), and Preludios ( Classical ),
Musicians he has been most influenced by: Abel Carlevaro, Baden Powell, Luiz Bonfa, A.C.Jobim, Charlie Parker, Mike Stern,
The style he plays is an influence of the places he has lived in, a colorful palette between Classical music, SouthAmerican Folklore, Bossa-Nova, Samba, a touch of Flamenco, Jazz, and Latin-Jazz.
